Being a Bolognesi
So it is time for me to go, almost. Fresh off of my six-week Christmas break, I have packed my bags and I am ready to leave. My bag made weight! Like a prize fighter stripping down to his boxers to weigh in, my bag is sitting pretty at 50.5 lbs with the max being 50.7 lbs. My carry on looks like it is going to squeeze in just fine, and I even had room for some host family gifts.
I will be living with a host mom, a host brother, and another exchange student. I am pretty excited, I think four is a good number. I will have the other exchange student to share the new experiences with, a host brother who will know the ins and outs of the city, and a host mom to hold it all together. My flight is leaving from O'hairy at 5pm this Friday (January, 27th) and will arrive in Paris at 9 in the morning, or something like that. I have a one hour layover, which should be enough time to make my next flight. I spoke with the 'travel agency' that booked my flight, STA travel, and they said that I go through customs in Marseille, not Paris, which should leave me enough time to go through passport processing and make it to my connecting flight. I am scheduled to arrive in Marseille at 11am or 11:15, I forget. When I land in Marseille either IAU or my host family will be at the airport to pick me up. From there I will move in with my next day consisting of orientation . Well I know I sound like I am very on top of things, I kind of am, but anyway I am ready to go. Well I'm tired of writing now, but I promise more material as interesting things happen.
